Sharlene was born in Fresno, California and lived her entire childhood in the San Joaquin Valley in the small town of Tranquillity.  As a teenager, her summers were spent working in the fields, chopping cotton. Her debut novel, The War Within, is based on a true story that comes from her memories of family, faith in God, life’s struggles, and redemption. (Available on Amazon)

 

She is now a retired Radiologic Technologist and loves spending time with her two adult children and grandchildren.
