Sharlene was born in Fresno, California and lived her entire childhood in the San Joaquin Valley in the small town of Tranquillity.  As a teenager, her summers were spent working in the fields, chopping cotton. Her debut novel, The War Within, is based on a true story that comes from her memories of family, faith in God, life’s struggles, and redemption.

 

She is now a retired Radiologic Technologist and loves spending time with her two adult children and her grandchildren. 

 

She has traveled extensively throughout the US, has lived in six states, and now resides in the Idaho panhandle with her husband, Lloyd, and their rescue dog, Jasmine.
